Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 15, 2026
These terms apply when you use this website, contact us through our forms, visit the studio, or receive text messages from The Georgia Art Company, operated by The Georgia Art Company LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the site or our services, you agree to them. They work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.
Text messaging (SMS) terms
Our contact and group-event forms offer two separate text-message opt-ins. Both are optional and unchecked by default. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of submitting a form, of booking, or of any purchase — you can send us an inquiry and hear back by phone or email without agreeing to either.
Service messages. If you check the first box, we may text you about the thing you contacted us about: replies to your inquiry, group event and party booking coordination and confirmations, appointment reminders, and a notice when your fired pottery is ready for pickup.
Promotional messages. If you separately check the second box, we may also text you occasional studio news, event announcements, and promotions. Checking the first box does not opt you into these; you can opt into one without the other, and you can opt out of either at any time.
You must be at least 18 years old to opt in to text messages from us. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian complete the form and provide consent on your behalf. Children are welcome in the studio — this applies only to who may agree to receive texts.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages. Reply HELP for help.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and most other US carriers. Carrier support may vary.
You provide your mobile number and opt-in consent through our forms, and we keep a record of what you agreed to and when. We do not sell or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Text-message data is used only to communicate with you about your inquiry and our services. For details on how we store and use that information, see our Privacy Policy.
Studio visits and pottery
Studio time is charged per person and includes your pottery piece, paints, brushes, tools, glazing, and firing. Prices vary by piece.
- Pieces are glazed and fired after your visit and are typically ready for pickup in about one week. Firing is a kiln process and timing can vary.
- Kiln firing carries inherent risk. Occasionally a piece cracks, warps, or a glaze reacts unexpectedly despite careful handling. If a piece is lost or damaged in our kiln, we will refund it or invite you back to paint a replacement piece at no charge.
- Please pick up finished pieces within 60 days. After 60 days we may donate or dispose of unclaimed pieces, though we’ll try to reach you first.
- Last seating is 1.5 hours before closing.
Group events, parties, and reservations
Group bookings are confirmed once we’ve agreed on details with you and any required deposit is paid. Booking and payment are handled through our scheduling platform.
- Submitting a group inquiry form is a request, not a confirmed booking. We’ll follow up to confirm availability and details.
- Please give us at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a group event. Deposits for events cancelled with less notice may not be refundable.
- Final party size should be confirmed ahead of your event. We do our best to accommodate changes on the day but can’t guarantee space.
In the studio
- Children are welcome and we love having them, but they must be supervised by an adult for the whole visit.
- Paint and glaze are water-based and wash out of skin easily, but they can stain clothing. Dress accordingly.
- We may ask anyone behaving unsafely or disruptively toward staff or other guests to leave.
- We sometimes photograph the studio for social media. Let a staff member know if you ’d rather not appear, and we’ll respect that.
